Martin Huba (1943) – mainly in plays staged by the deceased Miloš Pietor, proved what a brilliant Chekhov-style actor he is. Huba is one of the greatest personalities among actors in Slovakia. The author of sad comedies dealing with a tragicomic human destiny is so close and comprehensible to Huba, thus, he made up his mind to stage and direct Chekhov this time. Huba´s best directing so far: D. Hare – The Racing Demon, DN´92, O. Enquist  From the Life of Earthworm. Approaching a number of outstanding personalities among the actors od the SND Drama ensemble, Huba created a performance which become a profile of the theatre and highlight event of the 1995/96 season (The Literature Fund Prize was awarded for directing, E. Vášáryová – The Literature Fund Prize for performance of the character).
